find it now locktober gets its name lock to reference the chasti lock the lock on the device and it’s just a fun little plan words it’s an easy way to remember this month is to be dedicated to Chastity participants are usually men not always I have women that ask if they can join lober 2 but for the most part it is men who are participating in this journey at least they’re the ones practicing Chastity their key holders on the other hand are usually women at least in my circle and the femdom scene of course we’re usually the fem types holding the keys but not always so lober originally started in like BDSM forums and communities but it has since expanded for a lot of people this challenge is about self-discipline and personal development power exchange and growth for some people this is about sexual exploration and control in that area for others it’s a really fun way to engage in a relationship Dynamic that they might not otherwise or might not usually and it can be a mix of that for anybody and everybody it all depends on you and how you relate to it but in general it’s this fun play and mix of consensual control and self-restraint and a little bit of kinky fun yeah some more on the history of lober from what I can tell Lo October started to gain Traction in like the mid 2010s and it started in online forums it of course started to take off and now we’re take and just a playful way to engage with this ancient practice lober has become so prevalent that it’s not just people in the BDSM scene that are playing with it now you have people who wouldn’t consider themselves kinky who are engaging in October because they’re here for the challenge they’re here for the personal development some of these are men who are recovering from porn addictions and they know well if I can commit to a month that will like that will get me places that might help speed up my recovery and it’s fun it is so fun it’s great to have support and a team and some accountability when you’re doing something challenging and that’s for anyone you don’t necessarily have to be recovering from something intense to want to challenge yourself and step into a new version of yourself which we can only do if we are willing to confront a challenge and move through it by the way I see that as one of the biggest gifts in Chastity it is the opportunity to put into practice and essentially refine if you would like your ability to overcome challenges and how you relate to challenges and how you relate to obstacles I see that as the opportunity here and I’ve seen so many Subs transform their lives through the practice of Chastity and it’s not just all related to their sexuality it like penetrates every area of their life like I see it in action all around and okay I could go on for days about this but let’s refocus here another gift and benefit of Chastity is it really helps to strengthen relationships and that’s not necessarily just your relationship with your Dom or your keyh holder but it’s the relationship with yourself too it’s all of it and of course if you’re joining in a group setting like in my space you also have the added bonus of getting to connect with tribe and with other men and other goddesses because I’m hosting that space with others but more on that soon too essentially you’re getting to strengthen your relationships through Chastity through trust turning your key whether it’s symbolic or like literal turning your key over to another is saying I am trusting you with this I am trusting you with that I am trusting you to take care of me to hold me accountable to make sure that I stay on track and to hold me to this high standard which I’m telling you I want to live up to so please help me I trust you it is so powerful the symbol of the lock and the key and as the sub like locking yourself down like I want to do this I’m going to do this and I’m locking it in literally locking it in like what does that look like when you apply it in other areas of your life cuz I can guarantee it you can think of at least one one area in your life where you would benefit from just saying what you’re going to do sticking to it locking it in and doing it doing the thing okay and this is just one of many reasons why Chastity can serve as a right of passage because you are not the same person coming out of a right of passage like holding you accountable but that’s part of it you gain more self-control and if you feel like well put it lightly you don’t get the best response from women it might be because you are not being responsible with your Sexual Energy we can feel that and it tends to like M we’re going to pull away but when you can harness that when we can feel safe around you like you are being responsible with your sexual energy no matter how turned on you might be or not you’re likely to be received better by women just in general and in fact you might find that women actually gravitate to you so if you’re looking to have a little more self- control in that way maybe improve your relationships with women this is probably for you if you are trying to put down the corn get your butt in here get your butt in here there will be some tasks and assignments where people are allowed to indulge in porn or fantasy or audios or whatever but those who are fasting from porn or who are coming off of it there will be alternatives for you so this is a great opportunity to kind of get some space from some old patterns and rewrite a new pattern for your yourself and of course there’s the community aspect because this is a tribe this is like a kinky Chastity group and Community you will have other people around you who are also going through the same thing who are facing similar challenges and who can share some advice and some tips and tricks on how they are moving through that and how maybe they’ve successfully overcome certain obstacles if you have gathered any Gems or tips or tricks share it you have the platform you have the space to support others with your own process it is just super rewarding to feel yourself follow through on something that’s hard if you gave your word you should see it
