greater than ancestors did throughout the whole lifetime I remember when I was little maybe around 13 I got a Blackberry which is like one of those phones with a full keyboard and stuff and for those of you who don’t know and um yeah remember searching up like The Hub and ever since then I was more or less hooked while we’re watching One video per day to not being able to sleep unless I watch the video to or a session basically yeah and to be honest like in my case I was average like I have friends who were just a lot worse which is just obviously no one’s going to admit that of course not you literally feel just gross after you’ve spurred a full session and you would have a sham like mate I’m never doing this again but then a day go bust um a day go bus LOL two days go past and then you’re off to watching the exactly same thing and looking back at it to be honest I think it was more of a coping mechanism of not being satisfied with where I was in life and it was just the like the online reality of video games and adult content was just better so I just tried to escape like my own reality into this kind of fantasy and to be honest I think that was the same for a lot of people I was always a pretty shy kid well I was I kind of I was average let’s say and then at certain point I was incredibly shy and nervous I don’t know why but I had like pretty bad social anxiety to a point where I couldn’t really speak to people about literally sweating overthinking what I was saying and then my hand shaking which is which is honestly just crazy to think about and yeah especially to girls like was I yeah I was like 14 15. yeah was there correlation between like video games little content and being just very just shy and nervous and just having crazy mouth social anxiety maybe there’s some sort of correlation but yeah I can’t read point I can’t report a finger to it in this modern world there’s so many different ways we can use to escape reality through social media Tick Tock or Tick Tock social media YouTube adult content video games all sorts of drugs is there’s so many flavors of ice creams basically and then you choose whatever flavor you want to have today eventually when I was about 18 during my first University I was scrolling for YouTube and come across this nofap thing and I don’t really remember the video but I remember resonating with it I’m like oh okay cool interesting I probably want to give this a go I was on and off for the first couple of months maybe even up to a year but after that point I was like you know what I want to take this seriously and after a while going on like around a two two year streak it was definitely over 700 days maybe two years I don’t know kind of stopped counting here the top three things I learned and how I actually managed to engrave this into who I am okay so the most important Point here is the power of identity after thousands of hours of research and doing the thing this is probably the most important thing that gets you from relapsing every couple of days if not hours to just go on a two year plus long streak and completely forgetting about adult content and just fap it in general example I wrote straight to failure let’s say you have this person let’s call her Ingrid and she Ingrid is very overweight she’s just incredibly fat she eats about 10 000 calories a day and she just eats really bad junk foods and so let’s say if like she gets a personal trainer and the trainer tells her okay cool Ingrid if you’re going to sit you down and now from now on from this day you’re gonna train two hours every day seven days a week and then you gotta eat 1 500 calories if you don’t follow all of this precisely every day you fail so in this kind of mindset like of course like Ingrid’s going to fail she will relapse Anna and Adventure she’ll she might just binge eat and um at that point you should just she feels so sorry for herself too and into self-medicate she will eat more and then she won’t go to the gym and then the schools have stood her to literally just spiral down and down and down this is the same for saying these kind of goals or saying okay cool you must never fap again at that point you kind of sign yourself up for failure okay so let’s just Define progress so let’s say you just be off in me like 10 times a week and now you cut it down to five times per week mate that is a lot of progress being really hard on yourself and just put a lot of pressure will eventually this causes just to spiral down I don’t know it was like fall off people but when I try to be incredibly hard on myself and to like try and carry out this habit and I simply just couldn’t do it I ended up like relapsing and self-medicating by having like a four hour streak for our binge well I wouldn’t say for our binge but like a long binge basic that’s what I’m trying to say okay progress is not a linear line you might have good days followed by a lot of bad days it’s just it’s just how it is but the main thing is if you zoom out over a long period of time you can see just clear progress and just be nice to yourself man really come on um if the way you speak to yourself now imagine speaking like that to your friends or like they’ll never be friends with you it’s just by how you sound so you can’t you can’t be just treating yourself like that either it’s just well notice like when you are a lot more compassionate and caring yourself like you manage to achieve stuff like this just a lot easier and a lot quicker and calmer and more peacefully and stress-free you know and then give yourself some slack you’ve been fapping since like what you are 11 and 10 and now now with 10 years of just experience and watch time and just build up of habits and just certain Pathways in your brain and now like after watching a couple of videos like you know what I’m just gonna override like 10 plus years of just brain wiring of course it’s just not going to happen might take you a couple of weeks or actually no it won’t take a couple weeks take a couple of months it might take you a year or so at this time like to be honest always just be grateful that you saw this problem and you saw that okay it’s not having a positive impact on your life so you wanted to change it and that’s what you’re doing develop develop an identity of somebody who just doesn’t jack off so let’s say this is very similar to an identity of somebody who’s trying to quit smoking versus somebody who doesn’t smoke and the same as maybe trying to quit drinking somebody who doesn’t drink and let’s say your party and somebody says yarrickmate do you want a cigarette do you want a drink or something and this complete difference from sayings like no man I don’t smoke or I don’t drink versus somebody who says um sorry mate I’m actually trying to quit it was a completely different energy I’m simply just not the type of person to do this thing so why would I do it it just doesn’t make sense in my brain obviously I still get these urges and triggers and cues but um I don’t act on them I don’t associate that with um whipping out my phone and sticking 10 tabs open and then beating my meat for like four hours straight because I want to avoid reality because they’re just not satisfied with it even if you do end up fapping and breaking a streak which to be honest the streak doesn’t really matter you don’t have these you don’t have this level of like self-hatred and guilt for actually doing the same which will cause you to self-medicate by doing more of it like cause you to spiral down it’s like oh that happened like cool I don’t care so let me just move on with my day and just not even think about it okay so come back to this Association so after a certain point after I guess a Tipping Point you literally just you stop thinking about watching a little content you just really just stop caring so let’s say Obviously we still get craving things and stuff but I’m not going to like act on it immediately maybe I want to go and use it to go to the gym or maybe I want to go for a run and this kind of excitement builds up you can feel this extra bit of energy build up inside you but now you can use it more productively maybe you want to go for a run or maybe you can use it to go to the gym maybe simply as going for a walk or taking a martial arts class you can even use this as a meditation so you can put some space between you and the action and you get this kind of urges intent urge you simply notice about stare you feel its presence and just feel how actually arises in your body and just sit with it here is you’re learning to control your impulses and yeah so mainly is what kind of person do you want to be and start acting in accordance with that reality but obviously this is a lot easier said than done and at the start you need some help you need some training wheels so what are they so second point the start is difficult there’s a book called Atomic habits and the author James Clear talks about process of building habits it can be divided into four simple steps so cue craving response and reward the queue triggers a craving which motivates a response which provides a reward which satisfies the craving and ultimately becomes associated with the queue how do you break a bad habit so number one key make invisible number two craving make it an attractive free response make it difficult for reward make it and satisfying the easiest way I found to actually interrupt the cycle is either one cue make it invisible and free response making it very difficult basically like just with anything else you want to set up your environment for success in this case your digital environment so our digital environment might be just just around with triggers and cues maybe your IG models or maybe just some a YouTube channel which you watch or like certain Reddit like Reddit community Unity or whatever okay here you’re trying to ride a bike which is just to completely change your identity reframe who you are and in the process you want to have some training wheels will kind of like help you just start you know so here the training wheels are blockers both on your phone and your laptop which make it literally impossible for you to go on the some of these websites okay so for laptop is called turkey so incredibly easy to use incredibly to set up you can set up a block of your website category another very important thing here is you want to add search containing so like this drop down and search containing like all these kind of keywords and because the categories I don’t think it blocks all like websites and stuff like that but if the search contains certain like like kind of words I don’t want to say too many words because in my flag up this video and but you can get creative with it and yeah just set it up for the max amount of time possible which is I think 15 years it might be even longer and then just yeah press set and just completely forget about it it’s I’m pretty sure it’s impossible for you to delete the blocker or it’s incredibly difficult it was great it works it worked for me and I’m pretty persistent like I’ll probably figure out work rounds and ways and stuff but I couldn’t do this so it’s a good sign you know number two for your phone you can actually set up screen time locks and then you can restrict like adult content and stuff like that but the key here is you can actually set up a passcode and you don’t set up the passcode yourself you get somebody else who you know maybe a flatmate or your parents or something like that um just to set up a passcode and time to write it down or to send them to somebody else yeah this is also a fan like a really cool way again currently going stuff like that on my phone Great And depending how big part of adult content is on your life um which for a lot of guys is pretty big part whether we admit it or not and it will take maybe a couple of weeks realistically probably a month maybe three months maybe even up to a year for you to fully kind of rewire your brain and yeah at the start we like I have Carl night at the start it’s going to be challenging if not painful if you’re going through like addiction rules basically now this kind of void opens up where this kind of like empty time which you used to watch this kind of content is now freed up so for you not to get into a trap of replacing one for like another high dopamine activity maybe like chronically scoring on social media or let’s say watching YouTube or Tick Tock or whatever and instead you replace it with a like a positive activity let’s say maybe going to the gym or going for run well let’s say literally just going for a walk whether you go for a walk around your devices or maybe going for a walk with like your phone and listening to audiobooks or something like that so yeah let’s replace it with something good so instead of you trying to further run away from life you’re actually running towards it so find something you’re passionate about and go after it it’s very easy to default to these kind of high dopamine activities this kind of instant relief when you have when you have nothing going on and you can and you can experience this momentary relief of your average life with just something like that by just clicking a switch there was a couple studies done and they found that number one variable which leads to Chronic adult content use is kind of the sense of meaninglessness so by developing purpose have a a reason to quit and go through these kind of withdrawals for a greater good find something remotely passionate about maybe even a little bit whether with a gym or maybe something else maybe Pottery or maybe I don’t know running or like um jits who may be just experiment with different stuff find what you’re really passionate about maybe content creation and yeah and then afterwards um just focus more on that and maybe after a while this kind of like layout of your passion of your purpose comes to an end and then this will cause you to uncover the next layer and then you and you can concentrate your brain towards that so basically get busy do things you’re passionate about or just get busy in general meaning that you won’t even have time to think about um Boston like a bunch of nuts out and the third point is the benefits of nofap so firstly confident verbal Placebo or actually did something you do feel a lot more confident a lot more grounded and stoic this addiction is no longer part of your life you said no to it and you feel so much better for doing so you have a lot more respect for yourself and this is one of the reasons why I feel a bit more confident so after 7 to 14 days of retaining your seed multiple studies which found that and there’s actually an increase incestrying levels which probably contributes to this boost of confidence some people people claim to have more eye contact and they’re going about their day after having like a two-week nofap streak I need to have my glasses on or contacts to actually be able to confirm or deny that both people on YouTube and in these kind of communities claim this is especially the case for opposite gender so somehow they can subconsciously sensify your retention of your seed maybe higher test levels again this could be just perceived where you carry yourself a bit better so this reflects onto the world but the other way of interpreting this have slightly higher test levels so you feel a bit more horny so interpret signals a bit differently I guess I’m feeling a lot more focused and energized if you do this correctly and you don’t replace one bad habit for another you definitely feel a lot more focused and energized and because now you’re not wasting your energy by just busting or not and now instead you’re focused and energized onto some something you’re passionate about or whatever your purpose is at that moment so when you overcome this get it overcome this [ __ ] sake is getting late like I need to get some sleep you think to yourself if I can overcome this what else can I overcome this gives you enough momentum to tackle the next problem you have the main benefit here is that you’re starting to take control of your life and not letting you urges control you could no Fab magically fix all your problems yeah obviously not but the way I think about it is it gives you enough momentum to carry on this habit and maybe start this so you start to read books maybe start to exercise eating better taking care of your own health and helping others maybe do something which you’re passionate about all these kind of habits are sparks over time when you build enough Sparks this creates a really like 0 my meat for like four hours straight
0 because I want to avoid reality because
0 they&;re just not satisfied with it even
0 if you do end up fapping and breaking a
0 streak which to be honest the streak
0 doesn&;t really matter you don&;t have
0 these you don&;t have this level of like
0 self-hatred and guilt for actually doing
0 the same which will cause you to
0 self-medicate by doing more of it like
0 cause you to spiral down it&;s like oh
0 that happened like cool I don&;t care so
0 let me just move on with my day and just
0 not even think about it okay so come
0 back to this Association so after a
0 certain point after I guess a Tipping
0 Point you literally just you stop
0 thinking about watching a little content
0 you just really just stop caring so
0 let&;s say Obviously we still get craving
0 things and stuff but I&;m not going to
0 like act on it immediately maybe I want
0 to go and use it to go to the gym or
0 maybe I want to go for a run and this
0 kind of excitement builds up you can
0 feel this extra bit of energy build up

0 gym maybe simply as going for a walk or
0 taking a martial arts class you can even
0 use this as a meditation so you can put
0 some space between you and the action
0 and you get this kind of urges intent
0 urge you simply notice about stare you
0 feel its presence and just feel how
0 actually arises in your body and just
0 sit with it here is you&;re learning to
0 control your impulses and yeah so mainly
0 is what kind of person do you want to be
0 and start acting in accordance with that

0 good so instead of you trying to further
0 run away from life you&;re actually
0 running towards it so find something
0 you&;re passionate about and go after it
0 it&;s very easy to default to these kind
0 of high dopamine activities this kind of
0 instant relief when you have when you
0 have nothing going on and you can and
0 you can experience this momentary relief
0 of your average life with just something
0 like that by just clicking a switch
0 there was a couple studies done and they
0 found that number one variable which
0 leads to Chronic adult content use is
0 kind of the sense of meaninglessness so
0 by developing purpose have a a reason to
0 quit and go through these kind of
0 withdrawals for a greater good find
0 something remotely passionate about
0 maybe even a little bit whether with a
0 gym or maybe something else maybe
0 Pottery or maybe I don&;t know running or
0 like um jits who may be just experiment
0 with different stuff find what you&;re
0 really passionate about maybe content
0 creation and yeah and then afterwards um
0 just focus more on that and maybe after
0 a while this kind of like layout of your
0 passion of your purpose comes to an end
0 and then this will cause you to uncover
0 the next layer and then you and you can
0 concentrate your brain towards that so
0 basically get busy do things you&;re
0 passionate about or just get busy in
0 general meaning that you won&;t even have
0 time to think about
0 um Boston like a bunch of nuts out and
0 the third point is the benefits of nofap
